I'm getting married soon, so have to sell my computer since we already have one at our new house.
I bought this system only 7 months ago, mostly for gaming purposes. All new games with no exception work marvelously on it.
The specs are as follows:
CPU: Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz Dual-Core Processor (can be overclocked to 3.0 ghz easily since it's unlocked)
Memory: Samsung, 4GB total
Mother Board: Gigabyte GA-EG31MF-S2
HD: Samsung 320gb
Video: MSI P9800GT nVidia, 512 MB Overclocked for better performance
Wireless keyboard/wireless mouse included
Fohen 2 speakers
BenQ G800W monitor (19", widescreen)
Original price 1 090 000 Won
asking 700 000 OBO
Please respond by PM since I probably won't be checking this site very often. |

forgot to mention that I'm located in Bundang, which is very close to Seoul.
I can't sell to other distant cities unless the buyer is willing to pay for the shipping. |

the highest price so far was 570 000, so maybe someone is willing to buy this for 600 000 and I'll call it quits.
I am also willing to let the monitor go for 90 000 won and the rest of the system for 510 000 |

The 9800GT is an average card, and the motherboard only goes up to 4GB RAM, only one x16 and one PCI slot makes upgrading very limited; no digital DVI out. This is not a high end gaming system by any means, barely better than what's at most PC bangs. You're lucky to get 570K for this. |

the 9800gt is a good card and will work great on a 19". but what is the e5200? 2mb shared cache and only 800mhz fsb.
overall it's a nice machine but not worth asking, and definitely not worth the price you paid 7 months ago, or before you overclocked it. i was going to offer 500 but maybe you'll get a buyer for 570, who knows.
good luck either way. |

wow, thanks red_devil for scarying my buyer away.
geez, it's funny how some people live to post negative comments on forums.
e5200 is one of the most overclockable dual core processors and stays cool even when overclocked on stock fan.
The motherboard has 5 star reviews on all hardware forums I looked at. It's very stable and very fast. It does has some limitations, but it makes the system very stable and temperatures have been incredibly low on the chip even in the middle of the summer.
the video card is actually quite good. most importantly, it's very stable and can handle a huge load. not a single crash so far and never overheated even in hot Korean summer months. |

The 8xxx series will overclock better and the e5200 is hindered at any speed by the lowly 2MB of L2 cache. 77,000 new...cheap, that's for sure. It certainly is a good CPU for the money, but that is only regarding overclocking (sweet multiplier!). Otherwise, a mediocre performer at best, especially in games. More cache is vital.

For your monitor (only 19"), the card will probably suffice. Reviews give it reasonable performance at moderate resolutions, but at 1680x1050 and above (standard res for most 20"/22" widescreen LCDs), it chugs. 133,000 new.
So, 60,000 for the HDD, 77 for the proc, 133 for the vid, maybe 50 for the RAM, 100 for the mainboard...400 for the guts. Plus the mouse/key (depending on the brand), speakers and monitor...I will assume the monitor model is incorrect, but probably about 130 new.
So, to build this system from new parts(case, power incl.)..probably about 670,000.
Now, are we crapping on your sale? I don't think so. People should ring in when they know about something; this stops gouging on items that many know little about.
Your original asking price of 700,000 exceeds a new price. Whoever offered you 570 was being a bit generous, while 500 is maybe a bit low. Quibbling over 20 or 30,000 seems silly if you just want to get rid of it. |

Red Devil wasn't bashing, he was just being honest. Trying to sell this rig as a high-end gaming computer is ludicrous, and frankly insulting to people who know anything about building nice rigs. I agree this is a decent rig and could probably run most games mid range to well RIGHT NOW, but by no means is this high end. FFS the processor isn't even quad core and no DVI / the motherboard can only support 4GB makes it very limiting. |
