I'd say baseball but it depends on which star is doing well. Lots of ajeossis play golf, and I'm sure Y.E. Yang's PGA Championship victory will get a lot more of them to play.
Soccer ain't the most popular sport though the national team still gets attention, especially when World Cup time rolls around.
Are you asking participatory sport or spectator sport? In the U.S., soccer is BY FAR the biggest participatory sport. |

No, the most popular sports in Korea are smoking, Starcraft, and drinking. |

Koreans will tell you baseball is the most popular, but for a time it was soccer (after the World Cup was held here and Park Ji-sung started playing for Man U). But since they beat the Americans, the Japanes and the Chinese to win gold (all their arch enemies) at the Olympics they are back to having a big fat raging one for baseball. |

Only when Korea is playing, and especially when they are playing against Japan. |

As an avid K-League follower I can assure you that soccer is most definitely not the most popular spectator sport. They have fantastic stadia, some of the best in the world, but they are almost always at around 10-20% capacity.
Couple this with the very cheap entry costs and it is clear that most Koreans simply don't care about the game unless the national team is playing. |
