I was fired last week as many of you know because I have been really sick. My recruiter is going to give back my passport on Tuesday from where it was sent to immi for a-card registration and I will stay with some of my wife's family in Korea for three more weeks in order to secure an affordable plane ticket back home. My recruiter told us there is nothing to worry about leaving the country during that time. Is there anything I should do to make sure I am not staying here illegally or anything?

Lock yourself inside your in-laws' toilet with a case of soju or mouthwash or whatever. Don't venture outside. They can slide you jerky under the door if you need food. When it's time to go back to hillbillie-land, run for the nearest taxi and pray to god that the plane don't crash, with your knees pulled up over your ears, a bud-light stuck in the gap between your teeth. Plenty of jobs waiting in jaw-jaw. Y'all have a nice flight, you hear?

This is a dead serious question. I have no idea about this issue. Am I safe to stay another few weeks?

Is your boss taking you to immigration to cancel your visa?

Hey, man how's it been going?

No, she says she is going to hand it back to me and I will be free to go. I wonder if there's any chance of me still working there if I get better by tomorrow?

I am doing fine. There is a concert at the beach tonight if you are interested. Super Junior is performing.

As for your situation, I am not sure. You can extend for 30 days online. Are you getting your ARC with your passport? This is a confusing mess, and I would be on the phone with immigration in the morning.

Damn, that sounds fun. Probably wouldn't be a great idea, though, with my current situation. Still trying to get better.

yeah, thanks, I will call them first thing.

You can stay as long as you wish. Married to a Korean, right? F-visa. You don't even need to get a job.

Yeah, but we haven't applied for the F2 and she is currently in the states. I'm just paranoid about getting to the airport and being held up for something. If my school would let me, I'd try and get better and do my contract. Just now getting over a terrible wave of panic attacks that sent me to the ER twice. Was the first time in my life I have ever even had one. Still feels like i am in a movie or something right now...in a bad way. Will probably have to do landscaping or something at first to make ends meet back home, which is not an easy job. The only positive thing to take away from this situation, is college football season is starting very soon.
