(Un?)fortunately, my hakwon has gone under and I'm heading back home for a bit in the beginning of September. I have loads of things I absolutely must get rid of by September 1, so no reasonable offer will be refused for any of what follows:

1 'Messenger' Scooter - I bought this pre-owned scooter from a Korean bike shop in mid-June and have used it on average twice a week for short (20 minute maximum) trips. Affectionately nicknamed "Yellow Fever", it's in great condition with fairly low miles (6587 at the moment), good fuel economy, and great overall performance. Top speed is about 70km/hr if you're going downhill - but usually it maxes somewhere between 60-65km/hr. I bought a lock and a helmet also, which will be included with the scooter.
SOLD

1 LaFuma Travel Backpack - 50 Liters - This was purchased brand new from LaFuma in Bangi. It's a great pack - amazing balance, good support, lots of room, and loads of ways to access your stuff (important if you've got a month+ worth of supplies with you). It's been used very lightly and is practically like new. If you want it, I'll throw in a blue Jansport backpack (good condition) for everyday use free of charge.
100,000 won

Kitchen supplies - 1 HUGE (seriously, it's enourmous) stock pot, 1 medium pot, 1 small pot, all with lids. 1 non-stick wok, 1 small cast iron frying pan, dishes, glasses, mugs, spatulas...all that sorta stuff. Nice wooden cutting board, and loads of spices, oils, etc. Take all of it, if you could! Great for someone who's just moved house or just arrived in Seoul.
45,000 won for the lot

1 blender - it's an amazing blender. Simple - just two buttons - but more powerful than 20 soju-fueled ajjoshi. Also very easy to clean!
SOLD

Bathroom supplies - plunger, toilet paper (loads of it), shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste (also loads), and miscellaneous bathroom things - soaps, lotions, blah blah. Mostly unopened, as my school loved to give bathroom sets as gifts to the foreigners...don't know what they were trying to say.
FREE

Queen size cotton sheets - I know it's a bit gross to be selling used sheets, but I also know that they're all but impossible to find out here, particularly in Queen size. They're CLEAN and in good condition as I've used them for less than 9 months. They're soft, comfortable, and a particularly delightful chocolate brown. There is a fitted sheet, a regular sheet and two pillow cases.
50,000 won

Small bedside table - I really wish I could take this with me. It's a bit higher than my bed with loads of drawers in it to hold various and sundry items. Not in amazing shape, but really useful and if you're feeling artsy you could paint flowers or boners or whatever you want on it. I recently watched this Michael Palin documentary about Bhutan (I believe it was Bhutan) and the people there paint huge...spraying...cocks all over the outside of their homes in honor of an Holy Man from many years ago who wandered across the countryside wanking. I'm serious. Evidently religion isn't all bad.
FREE

Bookshelves - Two small 3-shelf bookshelves. Good for books, dvd's, or just general storage. I bought these at the sidewalk appliance store for $15 each, if I recall correctly. I also have a HUGE and pretty amazing bookshelf that I found on the street. It's not terribly heavy and a really great storage shelf for whatever you've got.
two small bookshelves - 5000 won
large bookshelf - FREE

Korean > US stepdown electricity converter - It's pretty big. It's a box you plug into a Korean socket, then there are two American sockets on the box. Pretty useful as I presume it's surge protected...but that's a completely baseless assumption. It's just quite large to be only a converter. It's worked well for me! I may have another converter, but it could have disappeared. If it's around, you can just have it!
SOLD

Random books - they're not mine. Some are good, some are probably not, but you can have the lot of them and either read, swap, or sell them as you fancy.
SOLD

As I clean and pack, I'm sure there will be more items I'll want to get rid of. If you want to stop by, email me at [email protected]. I'm available most evenings and weekends and if you want to come check stuff out I can make sure I'm around. If you see anything else you're interested in, feel free to make me an offer!

EDIT: I'm located in Geoyeo on the purple line (#5) very near the subway station - gate number 3, I believe. If you need help carrying things, I'm more than willing to help!

No, I didn't read it, must have gotten lost in the shuffle, my fault!

It can definitely hold 5 gallons, I would say that it's aluminum or another light metal, but it's quite sturdy. It has a lid as well as a steaming tray that fits in the bottom and is for making mandu or something similar I think.

as for books, I've added some others in the course of packing so they're not a 'lot' price anymore, but if you want all of them, make me an offer. I've got:

this side of paradise - f scott fitzgerald
the mission song - john le carre
twilight - stephenie meyer
new moon - stephenie meyer
the garden of eden - ernest hemingway
the road - cormac mccarthy
the ministry of fear - graham greene
everything you know - zoe heller
the complete kabbalah course - paul roland
several children's story books
'the message' bible
six not so easy pieces - richard p feynman
house of leaves: full color edition - mark z danielewski
lonely planet korean phrasebook
lonely planet seoul (june 2006)
lonely planet korea (april 2007)
culture shock: korea (customs/etiquette guide)
