this week (or very, very soon, at least) i'll upgrade to a bigger bike because now i have a bike license.
time to sell this one. it's been really great. no accidents. great shape. i bought it new and it is still under warranty until june 23rd, 2010.
i have all papers, manual and spare key. it has been insured and registered and all that junk.
you can drive it legally with a regular license (no motorcycle license). the best thing to do, to avoid trouble, is to take your license from home to your nearest licensing centre and trade it for a korean one. you'll get it back when you leave...
i'll link to a picture of it, and hopefully i can take some more and get them on here.
around 4000kms.
oil and filter changed every 500km. (costs about 8000won).
starts first time, every time.
new battery, disk brake pads.
tires have about 95% tread remaining.
1.7mil
the warranty service has been really great (they swapped the rear suspension components the next day when a gasket leaked). also... any work that you have done off warranty will be very cheap.
this bike will go around 120km/h, maybe faster if you're more svelte than my 225lb corpse, but i wouldn't live around that speed. 100km/h is comfortable without engine strain and was my self-imposed limit.
it can handle a passenger moderately comfortably. it pulls really well for a little bike and can lug 2 guys my size, but it's a little too snuggly for my taste.
the wide rear tire is cool and being able to bebop off the curbs is something i'll miss and scooter people envy.
i'll add more details when i realize i forgot to write them.
questions, ask.

i'm in incheon. songdo new city (where the incheon city festival main grounds are).
line 1, change at bupyeong st., any of the new subway stops past dongmak st. are near.
picture (sorry, it's not the greatest):

in case anyone is worried about getting the bike to his/her place, delivery can be arranged cheaply and easily. if possible, i'll bring it by myself and take the subway back.
i know the first ride can be nerve-wracking... especially if you don't know your way.

i sometimes wish my bike was an automatic so i could drink my favorite beverage while driving. i sometimes envy those delivery scooter guys when they're chatting on their handphones with one hand and holding some food container in the other.

If you're anything like me, your favorite beverage is a whiskey and coke and that would cause an immediate problem! Very Happy

no... not automatic. Razz
it's really not tough to get used to driving a motorcycle. just take your time and practice a bit (maybe at night... parking lots are great) before you really get out on it. i'm sure in seoul, a decent lot can be tough to find but there are a whack of decent ones here.
anyway... this is a great beginner bike but it has also kept me happy the year i've had it and i've been riding bikes forever...so... take that for what it's worth.
it was exactly what i needed until i got my bike license and could step up to a bigger bike.
if a beginner buys it, i'll be happy to spend a few hours with him(or her) out here to show him the ropes until he's feeling confident with it.
see you...

picking up (and paying for:() my new bike on tues or wed, so....after that i won't ride this one anymore. it has always been kept in an underground parking lot and that's where it will stay. i'll give it a last wash/tune-up/oil/filter change and it'll be waiting for it's next owner.
