|
|
Anyone know where/when/if it's possible to take the GRE exam somewhere in Seoul? I'm guessing they must have a computer center where it's administered, but I have no idea where or how to find out about it. Any ideas?
Thanks for helping! |

I thought the same thing. I even saw an advertisement for an ETS testing center in Kangnam. Only Toefl. Made me rather angry.
June 2004 at Kyunggi University in Seoul is the next time available.

Thanks!
You're helpful. Tony's lucky to have you for a house guest!
Cheesy, I know, but it's Friday afternoon and life is good!
Anyway, thanks! |

Here's the link that has no use....

As you may know, the GRE is now only offered by the CAT...at least, Stateside...or so I've been informed. Also, if I recall correctly, due to India and China/Korea's vast cheating scams, ETS pulled their tests until they deemed the facilities 'cheat-proof.' Dunno if they've lifted said tingy.
As for location, you can take it in Mapo-gu, Yeom-li dong...or Jong-ro.
Shoosh,

I took the GRE once upon a time here in Seoul. Can't give specifics cause I kind of did it as an afterthought, but the location was near Kyoungbok or Insadong. |

Would it be better to take the GREs in America or Korea (just cause I can do it sooner while I remember the crap)? |

Try one of the major universities or ask a hagwon which teaches GRE prep test courses. |

I would take it Stateside, that is, if you can make a trip out of it. Also, you may know that you can only take it 5 times a year, and once a calendar month. So, if you can only fit in a short holiday, I'd shoot for ...say... March 30th and April 1st....no joke.
shoosh,

Would it be possible to take the CBEST, PPST, or Praxis exams here in Korea? Anyone do this?
I need a teaching job back home to fall back on during the day while I go to school at night. Might as well get licensed to do so. |
