|
|
Well, I hate to share this more than anything.
But the girl I've been dating who I've praised as loyal and the perfect girlfriend had cheating thoughts and we just broke it off.
I'm upset, but I'm not down.
She was what I thought was a gem in Korea. Someone not emotional, pouty, or demanding. She changed and now I've lost faith in finding a Korean girl that is decent, loyal, and ethical.
Has anyone ever encountered benevolent Korean girl like this? I know it sounds racist but it's truly hard nowadays to find women who are like this for me in Korea.
I'm having difficulty, maybe it's the crowds I hang around... I don't know.
But I want to seriously date just a decent Korean woman who is decent, moral, ethical, and just not slutty. I just need to hear some positive experiences or good stories of finding someone like this to lift my spirits |

She had cheating thoughts? Who doesn't?
What do you mean by "decent, moral, ethical, and just not slutty"? |

I don't know...
I thought she was really loyal and Christian and all that good jazz.
But she basically lost all interest in me, and was enchanted by a guy whos leaving to Europe in 1 month (korean).
I just want to find someone decent... everyone has cheating thoughts... Im being stupid i know...
im a burning plane of emotional wreckage |

I met my wife 14 years ago. Never a problem.
We fight sometimes but nothing serious and she is the best thing i ever did in my life, getting married to her.
They are there, just got to persevere. |

Forget about good Christians etc. Both women and men greatly value one particular thing, and maybe she figures that just one month of high quality in-out/in-out from the European would be better than a year of mediocrity.
My advice: forget the she-dog and get yourself to Geckos. |

I agree with Changwon Charlie--my wife and I have been happily married for twenty-five years. She was my best friend when we married and she still is today. Don't give up! |

isn't this basically karma? Didn't you have 2 girls going at the same time? You ended up breaking a couple of hearts didn't you? Anyways, I think there are wonderful women everywhere on earth. Korea, Canada, India, whatever.
Where did you meet your lady? net? club? |

Does the fact that she lost interest in you make her indecent or a *beep*? I think we've got different definition of the terms.
I'm still sorry for your situation, it's always painful if your partner loses interest in you. |

I second this. Look for someone who could be a great friend, and let it go from there. It could be Korean, Canadian, or Kenyan, but a great relationship is a great relationship, regardless of where they're from.
I'm lucky in that I came over here with my best friend/girlfriend and wouldn't trade a single fight, spat, argument or moment of misunderstanding for the great times we've had 99% of other time. Just focus on finding someone interesting, Christian or otherwise, and don't be afraid or too pompous to step outside your own religious/philosophical sandbox if you meet someone who really makes you happy.

You're a very lucky guy. I feel the same way about my girlfriend, and have for the last 2 years we've been in each others life. One day I'd like to be saying the same thing you are right now, and I'm doing my all to make sure that happens. |

christian don't mean anything. especially in korea!
from my experience some people seem to think being a christian automatically makes them good, rather than putting on them any sort of obligation to actually BE good.
ultimately if a person is bored with what they have and gets excited by something else, it doesn't matter whether they're christian, atheist, muslim, or zoroastrian.. they're gone.
also i have to say that as a foreign guy in korea, its easy to meet easy girls, but tough to meet good ones. going out with a foreigner is basically an act of rebellion, so we're not exactly starting with the right constituency. |

One thing I've found out in life is that it is not good to go out there and look for anyone- thats how desperation grows.
Just let it happen, it could be an hour from now or it could be a year from now, but it will happen if you let it happen. Remember the saying "Don't look for love, let love look for you"? true.
the thing about love these days is that it changes, there is no real control over that- it could be in you or it could be in her. Thats the sad state of affairs these days. But you are doing the right thing by not letting it get to you, if that is indeed true.
The thing about Korea is that many people get introduced to each other by their close acquaintances. Yeah, open your circle more and get to know more people. Someone is bound to introduce you to someone nice.
In regards to love, it is all about networking. |

Thanks guys,
I definitely could use more stories, really good upbeat ones.
About the Karma thing, Yeah. I made that mistake and I actually thought this was Karma when it happened.
I'm not sure I can date another Korean girl. I want to meet another foreigner but all the ones I've seen are just so goddamn freaky. Even the gyopos.
I think I can only come out of this is if I find a rebound quick... |
