Hey all
First post here... no balloons as was promised.... oh well
Anyway, hopefully leaving the shores of Scotland and heading to SK in October/Novemember to do the old teaching of English for a while.
Wondering if any other Brits were heading at the same time?
Also, anyone doing a TEFL course in Glasgow/Edinburgh before they go?
Cheers! |

Hey, fellow Scot here! I've not long ago completed my TEFL course in Dundee. I'm heading out the first week of October. Any idea where you are going to be situated? |

You chaps are going to be a minority here - especially moreso as you are Scots - not many of them about teaching in the bando (or Brits in general for that matter) and I personally didn't meet a single jock in my two years over there.
Which part of Korea are you going to? PS? Hagwon? |

Not got a hagwon yet but will be in or around Seoul.
I have been told to look into hagwons thoroughly before I accept to make sure they aren't on some kind of black list.... that true? |

Kind of - it is easy to check out a bad hagwon though - if you get the name of where you are going to work, just post it up on here and you will get some decent feedback. It really is a crapshoot and luck of the draw in a lot of cases. |

I'm off to China for a few months but will be back next year - I was around Bundang and Changwon for 2 years (two seperate contracts)
Don't worry - I met enough jocks in the army to last a lifetime! I always liked the jocks I came across to be fair! |

It is an excellent album.
I'm probably heading to somewhere around Cheongju, I think. |
