| if when you move to an apartment there are some things left by a previous foreign teacher, they dont belong to the school, do you think its okay to take these things if you get another job or should they be left at the apartment? |

| I would say left in the apartment if someone is arriving for the first time, having a few things already in the apartment makes a huge difference to someone new. |

Thats true, but if you know that other foreign teachers at your school would take the things if you left them anyhow? |

Depends on what they are.
Books - take what you want!
Bed - nope leave for next new teacher.
Kitchen Utensils - take what is good but leave the bare essentials for the new teacher - aka a few spoons, forks, bowls, cups, a pot or two.
Also it depends on what the school knows is being left behind. If the school knows that there is a TV before you came they will probally want you to keep it at the apartment. |

Most public school contracts have an inventory of what's in the apartment. Anything that's not on that inventory is up for grabs. Some schools will do an inspection of your apartment when you move out you will be responsible for all things on the inventory that are either lost or damaged.
Some schools will make a big deal if the place is filthy too. Although there's not much they can do about it other than make things worse for the next teacher. |
