Had a quick look as i know that this has been asked alot before haha, im just going to go for an interview to work at another school for about 4 or 5 months. The school im at origionally said they would extend my contract (been there for 2 years plus already) but they packed a sad when i had to have some days in quarantine due to being overseas for my holiday...and tis is their way of getting revenge ><

Anyway, for my last visa i did the criminal check, medical etc etc....will i have to do the same process again to change schools-depite being in korea and these things not changing? and will i need to do a visa run??? (Should the new school pay for this even though im going to be there for a short time??? A visa run should cost less than a million and a new teacher would be costing around 6million with flights, severance and recruiter fee for a year so i thought i would push this)

thanks for your help, im alittle stressed as have less than a month to figure out what im going to do

A public school to public school move can be done in the country. All you need are your passport, ARC card, transfer form from the school you are leaving, and a school license number of the new school. This is filled out on a sheet they will provide you.

As long as you haven�t left the country for more than a month, you don�t need to get a new CRC unless your new school requires it. At least that is what Masan immigration told me last Nov. Also, you could use a certified copy of your CRC and apostille for the new school to look at, and just explain to them that you haven�t left Korea for any length of time, and that you are transferring, so there is no need to go back to your home country and obtain a new CRC. Personally, I have my original and three notarized copies. I asked the school for my original back, since they have seen and reviewed it, and have shown it to the POE. I mean why do they need to keep my original document that cost a total of 200 USD? They have a notarized one on file, though...

ah i thought that went to immigration, as i am at a Hakwon, moving to another Hakwon i thought that apostilled criminal check was lost....hmm i might have to get a Korean friend to call and check, i tried and they didnt understand me......would be good to know before i negotiate my contract...eg asking them to pay for a visa run
