I am supposed to be going to S. Korea the 24th of this month. I have been reading over the contract posting thread, and think that I might have made a mistake. Does a franchise allow you to re-negotiate a contract once you have signed it? I don't want to pay the 600,000 Won for utilities as I know that it is against Article 27. Also, if I work for at least 6 months I shouldn't have to reimburse the airfare. (I don't want to do a "Midnight Run"). They will take out the taxes, pension & health care - but no amts. are mentioned. Is this typical of ECC? I can live with the rest of the contract. I have the visa issuance number, but I haven't applied for the visa. I don't know if I should walk away.
Please tell me anything you know about ECC Seongseo. Do they follow the contract and do they try to work you more than the minimum of 96hrs per month not to exceed 110 hours? |

not sure what your contract said. i just signed with ybm ecc in busan. the 600,000 won in my contract is paid in three 200,000 won installaments as a security deposit on the apartment and if you leave bills unpaid this goes to cover that and the rest is returned with your severance. are you in a franchise branch or a company owned branch? i'm in company owned and my contract was fine and straightforward. |
