I have a badly stained/cigarette burned vinyl sofa cushion that is in need of recovering. It's one big sofa cushion instead of individual ones. Has anyone had any experience with getting something reupholstered or had new coverings put on cushions before, or at least knows where to go to get something like that done?
Cheers

I know there are places around. Where are you located? Or you can try finding one online.

I live near Ilsan. I have a friend with a car who can help with the delivery. I looked online and couldn't find anything.

I got some blackout curtains made up a few months ago in Dongdaemun. In the building with all the fabrics and bedding. the woman did a really good job so I recommended her to my friend Sarah who also got curtains. Anyhow, when Sarah was there she asked her about getting her sofa recovered (it had fabric cushions) and the woman did that too. Sarah just gave her the measurements and they were delivered a few days later! There are loads of stalls in the basement of that building in Dongdaemun and you might be able to find something similar to what youre looking for.

BOO-YAH!!! That's what I was looking for. It's kind of a funny shape but I think with an illustration along with measurements I could get it done. Any further details you could give about her location?

Wow, that's perfect catycat! I'm looking for sofa covers as well, to cover some really hideous sofa's. Would you happen to know how much they charge for something like that (approx.) in Dongdaemun? (Or if you don't, what did you pay for the curtains?)

Thanks!

Don't know what my friend paid for her sofa to be recovered. Wasn't that much I think. All depends on the type of fabric you pick.

As for the curtains, I got our whole apartment done. Full length ones in the living room(a really big window, full width of room), and in one of the bedrooms (with blackout lining). 3/4 length ones (again with blackout) in the other bedroom, and 2 roller blinds. I also paid for them to be delivered and hung. Oh, and I even got matching cushions for the living room curtains. Forgot about that! Anyhow, the total came to just over 400,000won. Again, it all depends on the fabric you pick. Can't remember what each individual cost us. But she did a great job. Was well impressed.
Ive looked, but I can't seem to find her card. But there are loads of places in that building in Dongdaemun.
I drew a diagram of all my windows, and their measurements and told her how much extra I wanted each side, and how long, and she did the rest!
You'll need to have someone who speaks Korean though.
