Hey guys, I'm looking to film a documentary in Korea. I'm looking for a store that specializes in professional video camera. Looking to get a couple of microphones, mic flag, filters and everything else I need to get going.
Can someone please help me? |

I think Namdaemun Market has bunch of Camera shops. Or you could go to Yongsan. Techonomart if you are on the East Side of Seoul. Your best bet would be to research 3 models you want, and the prices they go for on Danawa.com
Go to those shops and negotiate. You probably won't get the Danawa price, but you can come pretty close.
Nowadays, the consumer level Video Cameras are very good. Many of them shoot HD and have the bells/whistles of the professional cameras.
What's your price range? |

My recommendation would be the Etland Building (Yongsan Jeonja-land) - the professional camera equipment is on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
You can see a map here (it's labelled 전자렌드본관). Yongsan Station and the iPark Mall are to the south-east. |

Hey guys...
I'm looking for a Canon XH-A1.
My gf found a website to buy used to stuff in Korean. She found a couple of XH-A1 but were gone already. It was at a very affordable price between 2.4m to 3.2m. She also found someone in Yongsan selling a brand new XH-A1s (a newer version) for 3.5m. I'm hesitant to buy a brand new camera because I would like that 1.1m for microphones and other equipments.
Thanks for all of the help. I'll definitely go to Namdaemun again. I thought they only sell digital cameras but let me check again. I hear Namdaemun is the best price of any of them.
I will probably hit up Yongsan (ETland) to shop around.
Thanks all. If anyone finds a website, please let me know. |

I just read that your girlfriend found a website to buy used stuff in Korean. Could you give me the address for that website? I want to get a video camera this fall (soon!) and I'm not sure where to look for one.
Also, if you find something nice in Namdaemun or Yongsan, please, post about it. I'm interested to know. |
