Do you think a 50-hour express course will suffice instead of the 100 hour certification? Just curious as I am sort of unclear on the difference or if there is an "international" requirement that you take the 100 hour one.

Thanks!

120 seems to be the standard but you could probably get away with 100 in some places. This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't bother with a 50 hour course unless you are doing it to feel more prepared coming in. Most employers will not take it seriously and you won't earn more money. I would suggest doing the longer course, and try to find one that is accredited. Many countries do not recognise online courses unless there is an observed 6 hour teaching practicum. Korea is fairly lax in comparison to many countries as far as course accreditation is concerned. If you have plans to teach somewhere other than Korea, I would strongly recommend researching the requirements of that country prior to embarking on a course.Hope that info is helpful. Good luck.

100 hours or more sounds right for South Korea.
