|
|
I intend to stay at a goshiwon for the next two months but I've had no luck locating any that are available. I cannot speak Korean so when I ring they just hang up and I'm getting nowhere.
If anyone is in a goshiwon that has an available room (up to KW450,000)could you please give me directions. I dont mind the location in Seoul as long as its near enough to a subway station.
I'd really appreciate any help, thanks |

choose an area, ring seoul helpline and ask where the goshiwons are. The rock up and check the rooms out. If you a staying for a month or longer then get a discount |

There's a lot of them in Shinchon, some in the 250 000 - 300 000 price range even. Enjoy the free rice! |

just look for the words 고시원....they're everywhere. Especially Sinchon as the last poster mentioned......don't even need to call them. Just have a wonder about...... |

They can be dangerous places because just about anyone can stay in them. |

There's a really cool one near guro digital complex across the street from daerim seongmo byeongwon(daerim virgin mary hospital). I think it's called hue residence. The guy who owns it is really nice and speaks decent English. You can also eat as much free kimchi and rice as you want. |

One called "My Goshitel" 마이 고시텔" near Hong Ik University station on line 2. Owner speaks English well enough, rooms from 4-450,000 won/month. Seemed pretty clean when I was there last month.
If the owner's not there when you call, call again. |
