How feasable is it to bring my dog? I dunno if I can go a year w/ out him and then longer if I stay. Help please, I'm quite attached to him. |

I had to consider the same question. After corresponding with friends already living there with their cats and dogs I realized that I really wanted my little furry family member with me too. Go to websites like pettravel.com and find out the rabies requirement, and the airline requirements - it is very straightforward. |

And the one that still baffles me: What is your blood-type? |
Apparently your blood type determines your character. and of course, since this is korea, different blood types are more desirable than others. |
Also certain mixes of bloods can be damaging for mommy and baby. Mostly baby. But it's very very rare. (Rhesus system) |

They have toothpaste here, but I'd bring some Crest with you anyway.
If you're into Kraft dinner-bring it. After last day of uni, I never ate the crap again. |

Emart even have a small range of men's antiperspirants, in addition to the female selection. If you like porridge oats, take as much as you can.
I pay less than 1.00 pound per kilo back home, but about 9.00 ordered online here: I yet to find a suitable tasting alternate brand to the regular Quaker or Scottish porridge. |

OMG please bring a Visa card. My SK Telecom cellular rental would have been 1/2 off if I had a Visa instead of a Mastercard! |

Hi everyone,
I will be coming to Changwon in January and was wondering what kinds of things I should be sure to bring with me from Canada. Deodorant, underwear and socks are already being taken care of but what else should I bring which I won't really be able to find in Korea?
Thanks for your help!
Dylan
P.S. - I'm average height (5'10), slim to medium build with size 10 1/2 feet if any of this matters... |
All of the above plus enough cash to leave at the drop of a hat.

Your furry friend is safer at home. Dog along with other house hold pets are often on the menu in many Korean resturants.

As a Korean-American, I may not have grown up in Korea but it is disappointing to see crap like this all over the forums...
Anyway, Americans ingest 'meat' far, far dirtier than dog, let's not forget that. Oh, and 2/3 of Americans are overweight, and at least 1/3 are OBESE. Not overweight. OBESE.
Point is, your dog will be safe in Korea. Unless you decide to let him loose all alone in the middle of the night without a collar to pose as a stray and mess up his hair. Then yeah, I think he has a good chance of being kicked by a drunkard. Caught and eaten? Still probably unlikely. |
