|
|
My recruiter is pretty good at playing on people's emotions. She claims that she had to give my school half of the pane ticket money after they fired me because I was sick. I have never been in a situation like this and am beginning to feel bad for her. The school let me go after I got really sick and missed one day after only about a week of work. Now my recruiter has been saying she has to give the school $500 of her own money to cover my flight to Korea and for us to eventually pay her back $1,000 because she is helping us with $500. I am asking this because I have no idea how stuff like this works from their end. Does the recruiter really have to pay the school money or is she just lying to make sure she still profits from this situation? |

First, let her know that you are the reincarnation of Buddha so she should be more considerate. Plus your brother is Chewbacca. If that doesn't impress her, give her a copy of My Wife is a Gangster and tell her it's based on your life. If she doesn't buy that, then offer her your positive energy ring and maybe throw in some astral projection/lucid dreaming lessons. |

Maybe she collected a fee from the school for placing you there.. And now the school is demanding the fee back? Co T said the fee for 1 teacher placement on a GEPIK contract costs 1.2 million won.. |

Well, I flat out refused to pay for the initial flight over to Korea and my recruiter paid for me, and then the school repaid her. I guess it's possible your recruiter did something similar, but maybe they didn't repay her yet and thus she is still hurting for that money? |

No, the flight was paid by the school and now she is saying because of me she will have to pay the school $1,000. I think odds are, she is lying, but man, she sure can lie with some conviction. |

Simple, ask the school. If you can't grab a Korean friend that can. That is one way to figure it out. I wouldn't pay anything unless there is proof she really does owe money, but I highly doubt she owes money for anything (since the school paid for your flight and everything). I don't see why they would charge her. Worse case, the school is charging her the money to get the recruitment fee back, in which case you are not responsible for. I am not an expert, just my guess |

A Korean safari including a look at Bigfoot and a possible UFO experience will definitely seal the deal if the above doesn't quite clinch it. |
