| Met quite a few in Korea and have a few friends who are Mongolian. I knew 3 Mongolian girls who were pretty cute looking, they are kinda wild too. Both were grabbing my junk at the club (on separate occasions).I however can't stand the language, too much hocking a loogie sound noises in it. |

I think a Mongolia trip during Chuseok would be cool...
Cold, even. The plateau is very high (colder there than Russia)
No visa needed for US passport holders
Mongolian people are some of the most laid-back people I've ever known.
And the ladies...
Oriental face
Russian body

| I went to Mongolia in early September last year. The Gobi Desert was warm during the day, and coolish at night. Ulan Bator was cold and a bit miserable. Not freezing yet at that time of year, but around 10-15 degrees and drizzling. I did stay in a Gur camp about an hour out of UB and walked across the steppes for about 7km to see a giant statue of Gengis Khan, which was really cool. My friend and I then walked the 7km back and shot clay pigeons at a random shooting range. Great times! |

Yeah I seen that giant statue. Bit of a monstrosity for my taste, but there you go.
But overall I think the country is really charming and as a holiday break from Korea, definitely a superior alternative to SE Asia, China or Philippines. |

I'm leaving on the 5th, this weekend. I'll post pics up here.
Two weeks, and I plan to see ALL of the country, by train, plane and yes, horseback.
Marmott? I'll pass Hushuur, Buuz and Chinggis Khan beer thanks. |

I love reading history of Mongolia.
Lots of prominent women played important roles in history.
So far as I read, Genghis Khan's 4th son's wife gave birth to 4 emperors.
Also, in the beginning of China Qing Dynasty, it was very popular to marry Mongolian princesses among Manchu royal family. One of the most famous queen in China history Xiaozhuangwen has been regarded as a very intelligent woman. |

tip:Don't bring Mongolian money out the country with you.
There is absolutely nowhere in Korea that will change it. Not even the exchange banks will touch it. |

Sorkaktani, some spell the name as. I absolutely love the history. Ever since I read it when I was 18, I fell in love with all of it.
In Tamerlane's time (100 yrs later), if you weren't a part of the Chinggis family, you simply were not nobility, from Korea to Baghdad.[/quote] |
