Some buddies and I are trying to put together a flag football league this fall and need people who are interested in playing. All skill levels would be welcome, as well as rugby/Aussie rules players who are interested in playing any football that uses an oblong shaped ball Smile

This will be a no-blocking, no-contact league....as to avoid injuries and fights.

I brought 12 sets of flags back with me from vacation in the US and have a ball, plus a friend is supposed to be sending me 6-7 of the yellow PE mesh jerseys as well.

What we're thinking is to maybe have 4 teams from 4 different areas in North Seoul, Nowon, Uijeongbu, and Pocheon (where we're at)....we have enough players for one team as it is. More teams would be cool as well if we had interest.

We're thinking that each team will find a field in their area where we could play and then every other Saturday or Sunday we'd all meet at one of the four fields, so that we'd play maybe twice at each teams home field over the 4 months of fall. But all 4 teams would meet on one field and 2 teams would play while the other 2 helped referee. Or we could play shorter games so that each team played each other each meeting, meaning 3 games every other week.

At any rate...there are many possibilities...at this point we just need to find out who might be interested. If you are....please send your email to me via PM, or just post your email below in this link. Please let me know where you're located and whether or not you think you have any buddies who would want to play.

Also...rank your ability from 1-4 so that we can try to get teams that are somewhat evenly matched....use this scale:

1 - played college ball or is extremely athletically gifted
2 - good athlete who knows how to play football
3 - decent athlete who can catch and throw, but never played football at a competitive level
4 - just want to run around, get some exercise and have fun, may not score a TD all season

With luck we'll be able to get this organized by the start of the NFL season!

I'm level 0. Definitely interested.

You could probably find some soldiers who are interested in Uijeongbu (Camp Red Cloud). Maybe post some flyers up by the front of the base or leave them with the gate guards.

I didn't know Chuck Norris was an All-Pro.

but then he's "Chuck Norris".

or was Chuck Norris.

He's looking a bit old these days and that hairpiece doesn't quite fit right.

Yes, old age really does suck. Very Happy

I'd be a 2 (though I'm curious what you mean by competitive level.. pee wee? high school/ or what?)

it's different with pads and without too Smile

I'd play - but live way too far away to take the goddamn subway in early on a weekend Sad

I'd be interested in playing just about any sport, and I'm probably a 3. I'll be in Gangseo-gu in a couple of weeks and may have a friend that's interested.

this sounds like fun. i've never been up north (i'm in gangnam) but i'd be interested in playing. maybe through this site we could find some more people from around here and make some more teams. either way, i'm willing to travel on the weekends. i'm probably a 3 nowadays. if you want i can advertise elsewhere and get more people (maybe some koreans would come too). i'm not sure on how dedicated they'd be though.

I don't have anything lined up yet, but I'm hoping to be in Seoul by week four of the NFL season, and would love to play.

I can't run like I used to because of knee and foot surgeries, but I can still sling the ball with accuracy.

I'm definitely down for some flag!

Thanks!

I teach in NE Seoul and I'm very interested in playing some football. Would be great to play with some fellow football fanatics in Korea.

I played division 2 college basketball back in the states....and no, I'm not a giant Laughing I played point guard.

Hope to meet all you guys!
