Hello,
My partner and I are currently teaching in Geoje-do, South Korea. Our contract finishes in April 2010, and we were wondering if any places offer 6 month contracts?
We would like to be in Busan next year.
Thank you |

I've "heard" they exist, but if you are on an E-2 visa, you have to get a 1 year contract. But you can let the school know ahead of time that you will be leaving in 6 months. Many schools don't like it because changing teachers too often is not good for business.
Either way, good luck! |

I've had a 6 month contract previously which I got because I had everything ready to go. I went through a recruiter and found a school desperate for someone to start asap. Actually, it turned out to be a pretty good job. (It was an E2 visa before the recent changes).
You might not have much luck considering the high number of applicants around now. But, if you're willing to give up some benefits (like getting a visa run instead of a home flight), it might help your chances. |
