Hi,
I need a suit for an assembly in my uni. Does anyone know of a decent place in cheonan that has the non 70's throwback types of suits?
Thanks |

There's is a store called Indian. I think you can do okay there. If you can afford 400K and want a nice suit, you could find a tailor in Seoul. |

hmm 400k is a bit pricey, but I've always fancied a taylor made.
Is the Indian shop on the same road as megamart, I think I recall seeing that? |

yeah the mens range in any major department store is quite a dissapointment I think. A tiny selection of 50's brown through to tacky shiny 70's black. This is part of the reason most korean men look like clones as far as i can see.
yeah just choose your own materials/ colour/ design and pay for a decent Itaewon tailor. |

I get my suits tailor made in Thailand for a fraction of that. This summer I had a 170's Cashmere pinstripe and a lighter-colored linen suit made for about $120 USD each (in Phuket). I'm happy with them. Clothes that fit really well are a wonderful thing to have - and they can be scarce in Korea. The custom tailoring biz can be a little sharky, particularly in Itaewon, though. Make sure you know your way around if you go that route.
