So I have $1200 to my name, about $300 per month in student loan payments starting in january, about $150 per month credit card payment, and a cell phone payment of $70 per month. This is all in american dollars. can i make it in korea?? i want to change korea one smiling english speaking person at a time but dont want to live on the street. i know the won is not doin so hot so maybe you guys could advise me if i can live in korea with these debts? i dont need to live extravagently, i dont drink, smoke, or talk to women...

Assuming you're like me, you'll be able to service your debts and live comfortably in Korea even at 1.8 mil won a month job. (I don't drink, I smoke, Darwin was right)

I send home a million won a month and I'm still living well here, paying my Korean bills and going out every weekend. You'll be fine as long as you're not planning any huge extravagant vacations during your time off.

you guys are the best. i didnt know how much i would be able to send due to the bad economy but it seems that ill at least be able to take care of dem bills and live a quiet hippie lifestyle.
