What are some bus numbers you Bundangians take to get to places like Kangnam, Apkujeong, Gangbyeon, Dongdaemun, Itaewon, Hongdae, etc?
Maybe most of these places don't have buses to/from Bundang?
I'm just looking to learn some routes before I move there. Thanks!

6006, 2002 and 2002-1 go through Bundang and stop at Gangnam.
7007 goes to Yeouido via Sadang.
There are others too, but I can't remember them. |

45-2 goes from Ori, through Migeum and Seohyeon to Central Seoul (Jonggak, Gwanghwamun, Seoul Station)
1005, 1005-1 go to Central Seoul via Gangnam, I think
I think it's the 906 that goes to the Dongdaemun area |

I believe I will be living near Seohyeon. My work will be closer to Yatap, though.

In that case you can get the subway from Samsung Plaza all the way to Seolleung on the green line - some folk reckon it's quicker than taking the bus.
Actually, check out this thread for bus and subway info in Bundang... |

These, and the 45-2 and the 9000 go from bundang all the way to Seoul city hall, express. The 9000 also can drop you off just over the Han river, 5 mins from Itaewon. 30 mins in light traffic, MUCH longer in heavy. |

These are a lot faster than the subway, believe me. |

1005, 1005-1, 1005-2 and 2002 go to Kangnam.
and 1560?
9009 goes directly to the U.S. Embassy.

This is true during rush "hour". Traffic around Kangnam is terrible at this time. |

Ok, I was wrong...
My work is in yatap-dong. My home is nearest to Sunae.
I know I can take the 45-2 from Yatap to Hannam-Dong and back -- did it a few times.
The one that gets me is how I can get from Sunae to Hannam-Dong (closest to Itaewon I can get). I am figuring I must have to transfer somewhere?
Thanks all! |

One solution to that is to get off the bus at Yangjae Station thus missing the worst of the traffic problem, possibly getting a seat before everyone gets on the subway at the greenline (if you're staying on the orangeline) and still doing it more quickly than you would taking the subway all the way in from Samsung plaza. |

The 9000's probably going to be your best bet. It hops on the "expressway" right after it stops in Seohyeon and its first stop in Seoul is in Hannam-dong, just across the bridge.
It can get pretty packed at times. The 1005-1 runs more often, and makes the same Hannam-dong stop, but only after going through Gangnam. |
