|
|
I'm settling in to life in Korea but don't know where to look for some items. Some of them seem like they should be in regular supermarkets, but I don't know what aisle and haven't located them. I live near Seoul National University. They are:
- Duct tape
- Sandpaper
- Little boxes that suck the moisture out of the air and prevent mold and make closets fresh (I saw these in Japan and wonder if they have something similar in Korea- we have a storage closet that smells really musty)
- Those things you plug into the outlet at night to repel mosquitoes
Also, any idea of where to go to get passport-sized photos taken? I realized I need more for my student ID and alien card application.
Thank you! |

Any decent Homeplus or E-mart should have all of what you're looking for, including a small photo studio to take passport photos. |

Second Homeplus, but most should also be available at a corner grocery (except maybe sandpaper.) |

Thanks! Any one know how to look up Homeplus and E-Mart locations? There is supposedly an E-Mart near me in Nakseongdae, but I'm not sure which direction to walk. |

For duct tape and sandpaper:
Best place to get those things is in the shops called: "chul mul", which
translates into "iron things". These are small hardware stores usually
located in most neighborhoods. |
