I installed this awhile back so I could watch Hulu here in Korea but now it was mucking with the loading of pages here in Korea. I even uninstalled it and still it's giving me pop-up panes on the top of pages. It's no longer bothering my firewall though.

There used to be a program called BHR that was available at www.downloads.com that would identify crap doing this to your browser. Look for the older versions of that program, if the newer version has been reduced functionally. |

when you uninstall try a program called revo uninstaller. It clears out everything from a program that windows program remover leaves. It's free and you can get it from download.com.
hotspot wokrs well on my mac but not on my pc, so i uninstalled it on my pc. it tried to leave so much stuff behind on my computer I couldn't believe it. |

I tried this program out but seemed to get little results. When I go into TASK MANAGER and shut off my iPod associated operations then I can at least load Dave's... why would it bother with Dave's? It also seems to be mucking with Demonoid. |

Could you be more specific? I couldn't find an "advance setting" option. |

HS doesn't really work any more. I noticed when you go to like whois and look up your IP it doesn't show the one that Hotspot supposedly shows you. |

Well.... I'm sure it's crap. I just want it off my system and can't seem to do it. |

Still struggling with the remnants of Hotspot Shield. I cannot emphasize enough DO NOT USE IT!
In Device Manager it looks like it installed its own drivers superceding my Ethernet Controller. When I disable them I cannot connect to the internet. It also will not let me uninstall them to reinstall the actual driver from my rescue CD.
Quite the pain in the arse. I can browse but it is mucking with my torrents and Skype. |
