Quote:
Libya's Col. Moammar Khadafy has a beef with Switzerland and plans to ask the United Nations to abolish the tiny Alpine home of milk chocolate, cuckoo clocks and yodeling.

According to Swiss minister Christa Markwalder, Khadafy will demand that Switzerland be wiped off the map when he comes to New York Sept. 23. He apparently wants the country to be dismembered and the land parceled out among neighbouring France, Germany and Italy.

The Libya-Swiss kerfuffle began a year ago, when Khadafy's youngest son, Hannibal Khadafy, and his pregnant wife were arrested in a Geneva luxury hotel for beating two servants with a belt and a coat-hanger.

Hannibal Khadafy had previously been busted in both France and Italy for beating a woman and fighting a cop, and once for driving drunk down Paris' Champs Elysee at 90 mph - the wrong way.

Libya retaliated with fury, recalling some diplomats, suspending visas for Swiss citizens, withdrawing funds from Swiss banks, shuttering the Tripoli office of Nestle and threatening to cut off oil deliveries to Switzerland.

Two Swiss businessmen were barred from leaving the country until Libya received an apology for Hannibal's arrest.

Joo, note that Khadaffi could have demanded that the UN abolish Israel, but he hasn't done so.

This man really doesn't know how to pick his battles. If the U.N. were to actually realistically have the power to simply dissolve nations and parcel out the land to other nations at will, which do you think it would use this power on first: Switzerland, or Libya?

"Thank you, Mr. Khadafy. The council will now hear the next petition, from a Mr. Abraham Simpson."

"Dear U.N., there are too many countries nowadays. Please eliminate three. I am not a crackpot."

I can see beating servants with a belt, but a coat-hanger seems excessive (though students in Korea are beaten with the metal shaft of a golf club sometimes ...)

Laughing

I dunno, perhaps. Maybe they should give him an elephant for his European travels.

or maybe a stay in jail? The coat-hanger routine is so passe as Joan Crawford already cornered that market.

When Khaddafy gets to the US the US ought to secretly Kidnap him put him in a trunk and throw him in the East river and then claim he ran off with some women. Or even better jab him with a poison umbrella and then claim that the died of a heart attack.

I think the US should send misiles to Gadaffi's house and kill his daughter. OOOPs.
Or the UN should change the English spelling of Libya to Labia and tell them what it means. Shame those muslim men.

The Libyan dictator/whack job's appalling "speech" to the UN, which I watched live today, reminded me of all-too-many leftist whack jobs at Dave's CE Forum, whom I could imagine applauding this a******.

Gadhafi reminded us all how the US was responsible for the Korean War. Rolling Eyes

Hey, he's no Castro, but the lefties will have to content themselves with what they may. Double header action! Iran's anti-Semite par excellence spoke later!
