Just bought the brand new MIS U123 netbook for 540,000 at Yongsan.
1 gb Ram
Intel Atom n280 cpu 1.66ghz
160gb hdd
9 cell battery
English OS
(Netbook straight off the plane from the US)
English keyboards etc.. |
I think netbooks here are way overpriced. I bought a Thinkpad T60 in the US on eBay for like $400. The only thing wrong with it was it had a bad battery. I ordered a replacement battery and it works good as new.
I netbook is great in the $200-$300 range. Anything above that and you can find a better notebook. |

Not in Korea. The notebooks are overpriced here also. |

It almost makes sense to go ahead and buy a Core 2 Duo notebook w/ a 12-13 inch screen. Netbooks serve their purpose, but are so underpowered.
I'm going to keep my Toshiba NB205 & keep as a secondary, but I'm going to buy a small notebook w/at least core 2 Duo, 4 gig ram and 500 GB HD. |

| Yongsan is good place to search for netbooks. There are quite a few available on Auction and Gmarket also. Homeplus is currently selling the new HP Mini 110 for 499,000 KRW with the basic netbook features. |
