I recently did a Google search of my own name..

and LO + behold! The first thing that pops up under a "google search" is my photo, private details, address and resume on this "recruiters" web-site.

I sent my resume to a job posting several years ago to this company -

THATS A TOTAL OF 3339 INNOCENT teachers who have had their private details, contact details, resume and photos on the web for everyone to see for the last 5 years....
I never gave them permission to post my private details..

and never received nor accepted a job offer from this company.

If anyone else (still living in Seoul) sees their photos and personal details on this site -

would you be interested in taking the company to court ?

if a few of us all find our photos, private info and details on this website - we could join as a group - get a lawyer and sue (class action) this company for $$$$$ for breach of privacy...

I just did a google search too, and they have me on there too! The funny thing is, the picture on there is my wife! How in the world did they do that?

Park english regularly mails stuff like this out to some spam list, and when it was brought up, half the people said they were awesome. I doubt you'll get much outrage here.

I am outraged!!!

I never received any mailing list spam thingy.

I "googled" my name and also found my photo and details on their (for the whole world to see).

I am a very careful person when it comes to posting private things on the internet - I never joined "facebook" "myspace" etc, etc, - because I don't want my private stuff on the internet.

I also was to sue "Park English" for my breach of privacy!

I feel like finding, contacting and speaking to "Michael Heaney" the poor guy who has had his passport scan up on the "World-wide web" for the past 3 years - to let him know what has been done to him....

I am also sure the FBI would be interested - as the US Gov't "owns" his passport!

If those were pictures of Korean citizen identification card's instead of foreigners passports, the company president would end up in jail. That's how serious data protection is considered in Korea.

Sorry to hear some folks have their information published out like that. After doing a google search for my own name, I get nothing. Guess I am not important enough to make google..hehe

I did find however myself on a list of yet another translated discussion from this board on gaesomun, a discussion that went on here about the name of a certain body of water that lies east of Korea and west of Japan...
