This coming from the administration that exposed its appointees to the most rigorous, invasive background investigations yet? Have you ever owned a gun?, etc.
How many others like this did B. Obama place in or near power?
| Quote: |
| Presidential adviser Van Jones has resigned after coming under fire for signing a controversial petition in 2004. The petition called for an investigation of whether government officials deliberately allowed the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to occur... |
So his official response is that he did not read the thing before signing it? And B. Clinton did not inhale, either...

He pulled out. Cited a "smear campaign" which was unfortunately fact based.

He was part of every stupid organization that has ever been created on the left. And then ended up a "Green jobs expert". Green on the outside, red on the inside.

Notice that the media didn't mention this scandal until he resigned. CNN, NYT, CBS. All perfectly silent.
And what would this guy know about creating jobs? He's a former (?) communist turned environmentalist with a JD. Can he spell jobs? Could the Obama admin at some point please have a chat with somebody who has created an actual real job? I read that the only person with actual private sector experience is some woman who ran a small lobbying shop in DC for a few years. Apparently she employed a handful of people. A government of social workers, JD's, banksters, environmentalist truthers and activists is no government at all. |

| I think the problem is, more generally, that Obama has chosen some of the worst advisers. I still believe President Obama to believe what he is doing to be right in his heart of hearts. However, I see him seeking advice from people like Timmy Giethner and Larry Summers over Paul Volker. I hold out hope that the president would understand some the boneheaded decisions he's made due to the advice he's being offered (eg. bank bailouts, turning US Troops into drug warriors), but I cannot for the life of me understand why he would pick this Van Jones character to be the "green jobs czar." |

This is exactly why I voted for J. McCain, Pluto. I am very satisfied with B. Obama's foreign affairs and national security team, especially H. Clinton and R. Gates. But I knew that people like this 9/11 conspiracy theorist would be accompanying the president into the halls of power. And I do not want them there.
What comes next? B. Obama's appointing the Rev. J. Wright Secretary of Education or director of AIDS research...? |

Obama's just carrying on the EXACT same foreign policies as Bush. McCain would have done the same.
Oh, and the American government was absolutely complicit in the 9/11 attacks. Anyone with half a brain knows this. |

So you're saying that Van Jones signing of the petition in question should be considered a positive mark rather than a negative one. |

Re: B. Obama vs. J. McCain on foreign relations (I made no mention of W. Bush because both of them differ from him more than they differ from each other, far more):
Who are you arguing with here? Me? This is mostly my position -- I just do not state it as a crime the way you do and, moreover, I think there would have been differences, not necessarily major ones, not necessarily better or worse, just not EXACTLY the same.
Thus my very high approval of the Obama administration's behavior in foreign relations. I especially enjoyed the president's response to D. Ortega's rhetoric, too. |
