ive been wanting to go to costco and its near seodaejeon station. but, i notice that the subway line does not go directly to there...it only goes to seodajeon jct or whatever.

i suppose you must take a bus to go to seodajeon station, but nebody know which 1? i live near yongmun station.

go to seodeojeon subway, exit 3. walk strait for about five minutes, turn right before the bridge, walk for another 5 minutes (you will pass seodaejeon train station) and then costco is there. I normally take a taxi back as I am carrying a lot of groceries

yes, on the way back for sure. but, if it really doesnt take long via bus/subway to get there, might as well take the cheaper option, even if the difference isn't signifcant (i assume roughly 2,000). additionally, i don't mind walking at all, helps me maintain my six-pack. =)

God How easy to find. Googled Costco Daejeon. If you look at the map view you will even see the Subway with exit numbers.

My advice take a taxi the first time, then later walk or take the subway.

PS Do not forget your 35,000 Won for membership. American Memberships do not count.

Edit for price.

Are you sure? We were told our Korean membership is good WORLDWIDE. If that's the case, why isn't American memberships reciprocated?

yes, exit numbers @ seodajeon station, correct? not seodaejeon JCT, which is different and further away from costco as somebody mentioned in a previous post. at any rate, i found a link (and posted it up earlier) that lists all buses that go directly to seodaejeon station, not seodaejeon JCT station, just in case anybody else is wondering.

your membership in north america will work in korea. if the worker tells you no, then he/she was misinformed.

Looks like the if you get a card IN Korea. it is good every at all locations.

When my father came here in 1999. He tried to use his Canadian Costco, no go. He just got a new membership.

I am guessing that most Korean Costcos are not hooked up Internationally.

Hey I could be wrong Now. But in the end be prepared to maybe have to get a new membership.

they are now. for example,

http://gyopowife.wordpress.com/2008/08/18/costco-in-korea/

my buddy got a membership without his ARC, but they did ask for it. i guess his co-teacher was convincing. at any rate, save yourself the hassle and bring your ARC for a smooth process if you require a membership.
