I bought a Zalman fan that was supposed to be ultra quiet. It wasn't and the rheostat that was connected to it quickly broke, leaving it on full blast, 24/7. Pieceacrap. I think it also fried my motherboard, which Intel kindly replaced, recently. I want to buy a good, cheap, quiet fan on Gmarket. What should I get?

Case fan or heatsink fan?

Zalman case fans are rubbish.

I like Enermax and Coolermaster.

There are better, like Silverstone, Scythe, and Noctua. But hard to get in Korea and/or expensive.

The one that cools the cpu. I guess that's the heatsink. Thanks, I will look at those brands.

If it is the cpu cooler you are looking at, I would look at something by Arctic Cooling, becoming quite a bit more common in Korea, good quality hardware.

Here's an article comparing 22 current CPU coolers.
