Well, I've looked through some of the FAQ pages and everything seems a bit out of date and limited. I've also tried to use the website's search function and it just times out to a white page...
I've been looking at University programs that offer evening classes. So far I've just been looking at the subway map and searching the names of the Universities that aren't too far from me and checking out their language programs.
Ehwa had a good 10 week evening program, but registration deadline was on September 7th...damn.
The only other thing I've found so far is at Sookmyung Women's University and they offer an evening course MWF from 7-9pm, but its only a 6 week course. I would take the course, but for the next course I take after I worry I would have to start at a beginning course again and wouldn't be able to continue where I left off because it is a shortened class.
Its 250,000 won with a 30,000 won application fee. Seems reasonable, but I haven't found a lot of options for a solid course.
I live in central Seoul at Sinseol-dong station (on line 1, two stops east of Dongdaemun) and I am looking for language classes that aren't too far away (less than 45 minutes away, but the closer the better).
Free classes and things of that nature are fine as well, I'm just looking for something consistent as I am serious about learning the language. |

Sogang university is pretty popular and has a good reputation. New semester has just started and winter classes start at the beginning of December.
There evening classes are 3 days/week
http://klec.sogang.ac.kr/2000/3000.php
I hope to go there sometime
There's also a couple of Korean academies in Jongak area Korean Language Academy(KLA) and Korean language institute(KLI). I've seen adverts for both in the Korea Times or Korea Herald. Not sure what they're like thou |

Yeah I may end up just doing Sookmyung for now for that 6 week course so that I am doing something and learning, and then in the winter doing Ehwa or Sogang. I sent an email tonight to Sogang to get the winter class schedule since it wasn't posted. Like they have the times and days of the week, but not the first day of class, registration, etc.
I'll check out KLA and KLI tomorrow sometime, thanks. |
