| We have been using one of those wall plug-in anti-mosquito things, but it clearly doesn't work as we're still getting bites at night. Should we also be spraying something (in our room or on ourselves)? Recommendations? |

| I use the plug in thing along with several special candles. I also block all my drains, keep all my windows shut, cover all vents and spray the areas around my door and windows at least 3 times an evening. I still kill around 8-10 per night buzzing around. They're tough little buggers. |

They're gone from my apartment. They used to sneak in at night time. Now I think it's too cold around these parts  They were huge. |

| I got tagged 9 times monday night.. as I've hit the 2 day mark this is where they really start to swell.. the next 24 hours is going to be awesome!! |

I've taken a satyagraha approach in recent years. If a mosquito lands on me I blow or shake it off without swatting. If I see one just resting someplace in my home I let it be.
Sometimes they buzz me at night but if my bed cover is pulled up to my neck they leave my head alone. I have unscreened open windows throughout my house.
I've gotten 6 or 7 bites this year. I never scratch a bite. I put a dab of my saliva on it & the itch & the bump disappear in minutes.
Mosquito coil smoke & other airborne insecticides make me feel ill. |

| They're pretty stupid when it comes to hiding. Get one of those electrified paddles and you can kill them easily at night. Just wait till they start buzzing and swat at them. Then get up, turn on the lights and look at your ceiling and walls. Put the paddle up by them and they will run into it. |

| The things that plug into a wall as one unit don't work for me. The Home-mate? brand ones that have a cord and a little burner with wafers you add for refills.... THOSE work. Only they also make people have weird dreams and probably cause some kind of cancer we'll learn about in 10 years. |

They always bite me on the temple when I'm covered in blankets. If I scratch it turns into a sore. If I don't, I merely have a huge cystic zit-looking red bump for over a week. I put cream/gel on it, it only helps the itching.
I search my room very carefully. Monday night I stayed up for 20 min trying to find/kill a mosquito after I heard it buzzing around after I turned the lights out. They're pure evil. I block off my room at night with a towel under the door, it works unless they sneak in when I go out.
Where is the person who says it's too cold living?? Not in Korea. These demon spawn can be found in your home year round here. More in summer, but I've seen them every month of the year. Also it's still HOT AS BLAZES in Korea. |

| I am using the Home-Mate one with wafer refills, but they're still not working. (They don't give me weird dreams). At least I haven't been bitten on the face (yet!)- last summer I was bitten on the lip and looked ridiculous. But last night I was bitten on the thumb, and I woke up and it hurt like hell. |

No you don't you have to make them fear you. Squash them on the walls and never clean their bodies off. The dead ones on your window still? leave the bodies as a warning to any that dare enter your apartment. Make Vladamir the impaler look like a pacifist |

sure..but they wait...when you open it or lift it to get in, then sneak in. They know about the net so they don't attack right away, they quietly go lay some eggs.. then they try to bite. You think you've gotten them, then the eggs hatch. |

I read Schwa's post and chuckled. I can see the reasoning behind it, but, I am with Black on this one. I smash the phucker and leave it be for all his friends to know what they're in for should they come into MY house. That tends to work well these days. There are few that still come in ... 
Those that do come in, well, I think it's a hierarchical thing. They come in to see who the toughest is in the group so that their social order is well in-place. If they survive, then, they must be made of steel. If they don't, well, then I guess 2nd place is the true winner!  |

| Sleeping with a fan blowing on you will prevent you from being bitten, because of course mosquitoes will lose interest in biting you once you are dead. |
