1. After going #2, where do you throw the toilet paper? In the wastebasket or in the toilet?

2. If a gym offers 3 month deals, 6 month deals, 1 year deals, etc. Do you have to pay the full amount up front? Or can you agree to 3 months (like sign a contract) and then pay each month?

3. Konglish - one of the confusing things I've encountered. I try to read a korean word only to find out that it's a koreanized English word. Is there a list of all konglish terms on the internet somewhere? So that I can make my life somewhat easier.

Thanks!

1. Choice is yours. I always flush mine and have never had a problem. I suppose technically it should go in the wastebasket Even though in Korea the ajummas do a pretty good job of keeping wastebaskets pretty empty in most public places, the idea of adding yet another wad of feces-covered paper to the pile sits wrong with me.

2. Typically, yes (should pay all up front) However I would advise that unless there is some spectacular deal going on, to stick with a month by month, or at the most, the 3-month system. Not that you would lose a terrible amount of money, but it would not be nice to pay for a year membership in advance, only to have the place close down 4 months later.

3. Sorry, don't know.

You can do a search for all of these, and that would also save you the time of writing a grab bag of questions!

If its an ancient building ill throw it in the trash, if its new it gets flushed..

It depends on your gym..ive been to a few and paid upfront and monthly.

Theres no list of all the koreanized words because you can koreanize any word out there. In any language.

I've read about 500 threads on Dave's ESL Cafe korean section and never saw the answers to any of these questions. You could have saved time by not contributing a useless response too. I know how to use the search feature.

To everyone else - Thanks for the help. I know in America you are expected to throw the TP in the toilet but I also know that in parts of Asia the toilets/sewers aren't designed to have TP flushed down them. Maybe Korea is different. Thanks!
