The Olympic Park swimming pool has scuba dive training sessions every weekend (Saturday 10-6, Sunday 1-5) The cost is only 20,000 won if you have your own equipment. It is a good way to brush up on skills if you cannot make it to the coast to go dive. Plus, it is nice to do in the winter. However, a dive buddy is required.
If anyone is interested leave a note or send me a pm. |

I'll be getting my OW cert this month and I have mask, snorkel and fins. Do they have the other stuff that I could possibly rent? Also, if you up for going on a real dive sometime next month let me know |

I was going to get certified in SEA on my next trip, but am willing to entertain the idea of doing it here. How's their English? Do they rent equipment? What's the cost including equipment. Thanks. |

Contact one of the clubs on my site at www.scubainkorea.com or sign up for the message board on the same site and post a message there.
Good luck.

divekorea or Club Genx is a club located in Seoul near olympic park. The owner name is Branden. He is a master instructor and has been diving for over 12 years and teaching people for quite sometime. He bilingual with perfect English and his prices for courses are the most reasonable I've seen so far in Korea. He uses good quality equipment, that's well maintained. Dive Korea also schedules dive trip at reasonable prices.
His email is: [email protected]
You search for his facebook page by typing in "dive Korea"

For those wanting to get certified. They are doing an open water course from Sept 18-20. |

I am up for diving anytime. It is good to go soon as the water will be getting cold. Yes, you can rent gear at the pool. All you'll need is a regulator (6000 won) and wet suit (2000 won) on top of the 20,000 won entrance fee.
I tired the pool last week and it is a great place to practice skills if you cannot make it to the ocean. |
