Hey news lovers! I found this article in the expat living section of the Korea Herald. Insightful!

http://www.koreaherald.co.kr/NEWKHSITE/data/html_dir/2009/09/11/200909110047.asp

Edit: Sorry, it was actually in the Rediscover Seoul section.

Whoa. That was groundbreaking news right there. It's going to take me a good month to digest the impact this report had on my psyche.

The Korean Herald is the worst rag in the entire universe.

The paper is only good for going to the bathroom. It can double as toilet paper.

I know. I was stupid enough to get a subscription.

It's like an article from an elementary school kid in the school newspaper.

It's even worse than that. I have to do another newspaper's kids edition for one of my classes and the entire newspaper staff is Korean and all the articles are written like this one is.
When there is a blurb about festivals or other happenings in Korea, the closing line is always something along the lines of "Why don't you go and enjoy this with your family?"

Oh, I like to send the staff emails every Friday pointing out the glaring errors in their newspaper. I have yet to receive an email in response.

That article reminds of a lot of Arirang TV which I watch from time to time because it's the polar opposite of Dave's ESL Cafe. It's cheery and it always demonstrates the many ways that Korea is a multicultural paradise.

I want the forty five seconds it took to read that back. My middle school first graders write more hard hitting investigative journalism.

Atahualpa: Most of the food here tastes like someone emptied out a lawnmower bag and doused it with pepper sauce. If I don't get back to Spain soon my stomach is going to jump out of my body and swim for it.

Korea Herald: Thank you for your comment. I'll just edit it to say that you think Korean food is very delicious and healthy so that I will keep my job.
