Should I write a book about my experience of working in the Korean PS system?

I would try to be constructive, but fair and frank.

I would talk about positives, negatives, and how I think things could be improved.

What do you think? Laughing

If you want a best seller, make it destructive, unfair, and plenty of franks and beans. Judging by the vibe on Dave's, they want full, blow-by-blow, expose on how ESL in Korea caused your marriage to break up but led you to paradise on Earth.

Yeah dude, jazz it up. "After working in the Korean Public School system, I was no longer attracted to women, or men for that matter. I went home and joined the army. I told them to give me the most dangerous job they could find."

Sure. The process may help you find closure from the terrible two year work experience you have had within the South Korean public school system. You could draw on your experience, and discuss the cross cultural and language differences that you had encountered while living in a homogenous country. You could bash them for their blond hair blue eye preferences. You could discuss how being a Muslim had affected your prospective and with intercommunications among your fellow co-teachers. You could compare and contrast life inside and outside of the school. It could be like a guide book for anybody else wishing to work for a South Korean public elementary school. You could construct subjects about recruiters, co-teachers, the elementary school system and its curriculum, the school politics, GEPIK system, Korean work culture and ethics, experiences of other expats working in elementary schools, and many other issues.

Id say go for it. Begin by writing whatever comes to mind, and I am sure that the process will unfold overtime until you have a good solid cohesive book that chronicles your experiences and what you have learned from it. Dont listen to discouragement. Just begin it and see where it will go. You never know where it will lead to until you get there. The thousand mile journey begins with the first step. Wink

Good luck! Smile

FTUK, K4 and NoleGirl should get together to put something out. At least it would be somewhat entertaining.

Better yet, just have a collaboration of their posts throughout the last couple of years and publish that for bathroom reading material.

Only if it's comparable to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas........meets Requiem for a Dream and Malcolm X. And more.

"From Korea to Jihad". That's a catchy title. Get Kentucker to collaborate on the dream sequences.

I'm being a bit mean....but that is a catchy title.
