Well its almost the 14th so I thought I'd ask. I did a search on this forum and the only specifics I could find were for places in Bundang. Any really nice and sanely-priced places in Seoul proper? Love the big round beds that I get every now and then and it would be really nice to have a bath tub big enough not to be too cramped with two people in it.

Thanks!

There are too many too count. Go to a place with a lot of tall buildings -- business districts.

I just saw a place around Chong ro 3 ga/jong gak area last week that advertised a whirl pool bath, bidet, and other goodies. Not sure how much it is but looked new and nice. I think it was Sky or NuNu. it's got big neon signs on top.
good luck!

I stayed at a love hotel in Jamshil (recommended by the KNTO by the way) that had a nice bed, a nice jacuzzi/shower set up, cable TV and Internet service in the LARGE room. It was really really swank, and all for 50,000 won a night (30,000 won "part time") Wink

Im thinking the prices for rooms are going to increase this night!!...
then again I could be wrong..

if you are looking for the best deals with hotels.. book online..
just like you would when traveling anywhere abroad..
you get much cheaper rates..
and Im talking nice hotels.!! 4-5 stars...
120.000 won instead of 300.000...
80.000 won instead for 200.000
give it a try...
thats what we have done in the past.. even when we through parties..
we rent huge size condos in kangnam for like 120-150.000 for a nite or two.. and PARTY!!!
way cheaper online!!

Sounds good. gotta love those toilets that seem to have more buttons etc. on them than an airplane and a heated seat Very Happy

Sounds good. A lot like the best motel I've stayed in (good place in Kangnam with a good bit of real hardwood in the inside).

That could be good. 80 thousand is definately doable. Maybe too late now but maybe something for our 6-month anniversary next month. Any good ones you know of in the 80K range?

Many great ones in Yeoksam

I live in Yeoksam - the great business/commercial hub of Seoul - my neighbourhood is lined with all the company headquarters - and Equus's, chairman's Mercedes and BMW's line the footpaths.

The Love hotels here are upper class and range in price from 60,000 to 80,000 won because they are worth every bek (cent). On the weekend -after Saturday afternnon it is a great place - because the company buildings close their doors and the whole neighbourhood is empty - for you to run amok - many great Japanese, chinese, korean and western restaurants still open in the neighbourhood over the weekend.

Not only that - but the subway station adjoining the STAR Tower even has FREE PlayStation 2 on a large screen TV to play for anybody hanging around the subway station - give it a try for a quiet, romantic but posh weekend.

And - if you think it is too quiet for you - K/Gangnam suburb is just a 5 minute walk down the street - where the nightlife is great.
