I tried Seoul Maids and the woman said they aren't doing any more house cleaning services, unless the person agrees to a schedule (daily, weekly, biweekly).

I don't need a maid to come on a regular basis. Sometimes I just need someone to come by and give the place a good thorough cleaning. Someone I could call up and they could show up a day or 2 later.

If you speak Korean, you can find a maid through your local Gu office. My wife recently went back to the states, so she arranged a woman to come by the house every ten days or so and do a complete cleaning for me.

I'll ask her which office, and who to speak with if you want. But if you speak Korean, you call them yourself.

How much is the cost? I wanted to find someone for 10,000w an hour. Probably about 5 hours of work in order to get everything spic and span.

It's called 파출부 in Korean and there all over the place. The Korean ajummas who clean are darn good, too. I think it's like 30,000 won depending on how big your place is.

Why don't you go to Hannam Supermarket and get a number off their notice board? There are people who offer one-off services.

I've been looking for the same thing on this board, but have never had any luck. I'm not in Seoul either, and I've asked around my neighborhood but no one has any idea where to ask. you would think there would be plenty of korean housewives wanting to make an extra buck who would be willing to do this kind of labour, not just filipinas and the like.

I checked a few 파출부 websites on naver. It seems they charge quite a bit more than filipina maids.

Is it just my potty mind, or doesn't this whole thread sound like something else? Cool

Where do you live?

I'm on the east side of Seoul, and there's a Filipino lady that charges me 10k/hr. She does a pretty good job as well.

*edit* her details removed, as she's no longer cleaning
