|
|
Hello all, sorry, I've used the search but couldn't find the answer to this question. I'm renewing my E2 and a recruiter recently emailed me saying that I would need transcripts that were printed within the last 3 months to get a visa. I have many copies of sealed transcripts but they're all from around about two years ago when I started traveling.
So I suppose the question is, does immigration put an expiration date on sealed transcripts? |

My recruiter told me that documents expire after 6 months. |

How can academic transcripts expire? They don't come with use-by-dates, do they? |

I've used older documents. It all depends on who in immigration or at the embassy looks at your papers. Get new ones if you can, but you can send along your old ones first. |

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. At work now but I'm crossing my fingers that there's no, "printed on," date on the envelope... |

Immigration installed a new regulation a couple of years back that transcripts can be no older than six months. |

The date would be on the actual transcripts themselves. |

NZ transcripts have the dates on the bottom of the page. |

Why would it make a difference if they are officially stamped and sealed, and remain thus? Seems strange! |

I've done it in 2006-09 with transcripts from 2004. What...you think anybody bothers to read through all the applications each office gets?
Doesn't change the fact that it's the official position though...I just didn't feel like wasting all that money I used on ordering those transcripts...there wasn't a time limit when I got them. |
