Never liked either for some reason.
First saw him in the epic historical drama North and south.
Dirty dancing was probably his defining role. Always enjoyed Point break though mostly for the genral feel of the film rather than the acting. "Iconic and distinctive" is how i would categorise him as an actor....

It was really sad to another 80's icon pass away. I was watching a clip about his passing today and it was said that he didn't take pain medication while filming "The Beast" (his last work). He felt it might hinder his ability to perform. As a chronic kidney stone sufferer all I can is WOW. Seriously tough man.

I respectfully submit that Point Break was his best movie.

Also, let's not forget Red Dawn, The Outsiders and Tiger Warsaw.

RIP

Can't say I ever cared for him as an actor, but from the interviews I caught of him, he seemed like a down to earth guy with a cool Southern accent and a good soul. Pancreatic cancer is no way to die. It's probably the worst kind of cancer you can get as it's impossible to detect until it's too late.

RIP

That's really too bad. When I told my wife, she said, "Orry!", as her favorite show with him in it was North and South, with him playing Orry Main, a lead character. It was a great series--if you didn't watch it, you should.

We'll miss you, Patrick.

The day Clint Eastwood dies is the day everyone should stop caring about celebrity deaths.

I respect the heaven out of him for his attitude leading right up to his last days. He is a testament of good people on this Earth.

He was good in "The Outsiders", "Next Of Kin", and especially "Road House".

I feel sorry for the guy; pancreatic cancer is not the way to go. Although he was a heavy smoker, some kind of cancer was likely at some point.

Clint won't sucker punch Death. That's a wuss move. He'll give it a stern look and using his gravelly voice tell it to, "Back off".

If he ever pulls a Grand Torino ending in real life I'll kill him. Again.

More like: "are you gonna swing that scythe or whistle dixie?" and the just as death nervously starts to make a move ka-BAAM Clint drops the hammer.

Oh and I always was a fan of PS. Seemed like a good guy. Married to the same woman forever while being a heartthrob. Mad respect for doing the hard miles like a man.

Patrick is one of the few human beings on this earth that I truly looked up to.

He was a real human being, nothing fake about him.

I always wished I could find a friend like him.

I will definitely miss him.

"If you're looking for trouble, well then you've found hit."

which movie?
