|
|
I heard that studying in Korea can be quite cheap, but when I look at the undergraduate degree programs in korea it seems to be the same as what I took back in canada (about 6 grand). The costs I am seeing are about 5 grand per semester. Does anyone know the approximate costs of studying in universities in Korea or a general range? Providing you can't get a scholarship. |

Undergraduate or graduate? Foreign graduate students at my school pay less than 2 million a semester, and most have some sort of scholarship. |

My friend pays roughy that for Yonsei but he got a scholarship and only has to pay about half. Scholarships are seemingly quite easy to obtain for foreigners. Worth trying for anyway...... |

No, apply as a first time student. If you took classes that you want to transfer, then you have to provide your transcripts. If not, than you are a "first time student" |

Undergrad I am not too sure, but graduate studies is about 6000 USD a semester at Ko-Dae. |

Foreign graduate students at my uni don't have to pay any tuition and get a scholarship. I'm not sure about undergrads but I think it's almost the same for them but maybe slightly smaller scholarship. The university is however engineering only, but I think you can study here pretty much for free (all expenses included) if you are really stingy.
At the SNU it seems like you have to apply to get tuition exemption, which probably means you need pretty good grades. |

It seems like most rich Koreans send their kids abroad for university. |

You could get a Korean undergrad degree here, then go to Europe and get an MA in 1 year if that floats your boat.
Assuming you go to a half-way decent European uni this isn't a bad plan. |

What school do you go to? Where is it or does it have a website?

Same questions: Can you give us the name and location, or website, of your school? Thanks^^ |

I want to go to Korea University but I dont exactly have my heart set on going there. Meaning I wouldnt mind going somewhere else too. I just took the TOPIK test and I'm pretty sure I at least got a level 4. |
