Uhhh... well unless you're into specialty products all the other shops are the same. Korea's bicycle distribution network doesn't favor one shop having one brand over another. Your local Samchuuly affiliate can just as easily get you a Colnago as MTB specialist around the corner and neither of them will know how to tune it up worth a damn.
The Storck shop in Hannam is a full service workshop and can order you just about anything available in Korea. Plus, they've got several experienced, English-speaking mechanics/sales people. Otherwise hit up my man Bob at Camel Bikes in Namyangju, his shop isn't big but doesn't speak Engrish and has access to all sorts of fancy toys. |

If you want the greatest selection, search for OD bike shop. They are the distributor/importer for many brands of road and MTBs. The downside to that great selection is that they can rarely discount which undercuts the dealers that get their supplies from them.
NSP is right about high-end at Storck. Yeah, I'm affiliated but they are great guys. |

I don't know about Seoul, but in Wonju a great place for bikes and cycling equipment is 정 Bike. They receive a lot of their products from OD bikes, as Crockpot mentioned, but their prices seem quite reasonable - I bought my 2009 Trek 8500 for 2.6 mil, which I thought pretty good for Korea. Also, they know how to tune the bikes they put together, as the mechanic, who speaks no English, works the XC race circuit.
정 Bike - small shop, no English, great service, very knowledgeable.
PS - How much would a Thomson Elite seatpost cost me in Seoul. Here I've been quoted 110k, a little too expensive for my taste. |

Many shops try to squeeze around 140,000 out of you. I've paid 104,000 for the Thomson Elite set back post for both my Jamis fs and Trek ht. I don't feel like I got ripped given the exchange rate and lack of tax (that is on par with the U.S.).
As far as the best high-end shop goes, I haven't a clue. I bought my Jamis from Chung Cycles (decent deal for Korea) and my Trek from a private party (awesome deal). |

Check out Yongsan MTB, it's not a huge shop, but they do have some sweet bikes (road and mountain).
It's at Samgakji by the fire station. Just take the subway and get out at exit 5. It's maybe 10m on the right, before you get to the fire station. |

I go to OMB in Ulsan but they have shops all over.

| Don't focus on the shop itself. Find a place with a good mechanic, preferably English-speaking. Like I say over and over ANY shop can get ANY product. Better yet, find a shop that's okay with mail ordering stuff from American sites. My friend at Camel Bikes regularly makes orders on BTI and QBP for me - something you won't see to many other shops do (though I don't know for a fact... I'm pretty sure Philshop does too - how else can they carry Surlys). |

Seems like most if not all the Korean distributors have retail store-fronts or online sites and compete with local shops?
I've budgeted around 11,000,000 KRW and would love to get my hands on a 2010 Ridley. Might be cheaper to buy from an American mail order?
Where is Phil Shop located by the way? |

| It's obviously not what you are looking for OP (sorry to hijack), but I'm considering selling my Jamis XLT that has lots of goodies (XTR shifters/levers n disc brakes, XT cranks, Thomson post and stem, WTB ti rail saddle, blah blah). If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be in the market, shoot me a pm. |

The best high end store in this country is just across the road from the Gwangju World Cup stadium front gate... as far as I know.
Seoul?
