not exactly about english teaching, but i humbly suggest:
the itaewon breakfast club: at 8am on a sunday morning, a canadian english teacher, a nigerian 'businessman', an ajosshi, and a russian model each stagger into a bar for one last drink. they tell moving stories about their respective lives, and gain a new appreciation for each other's cultures. or not.
한국어완전정복!/please teach me korean: beautiful, intelligent korean girl, from rich family, inexplicably falls for rather dumb foreign guy. father, hating him, sets him a challenge he is sure he can't meet- 'learn korean fluently in 12 months, or you can't marry my daughter'. endless possibilities for humorous mangling of the korean language.
hamel: first white people in korea, shipwrecked, enslaved, taken to the king, learn to speak korean, have crazy adventures, escape and live to tell the tale. there's gotta be a film in that!
however! i think a better question would be- 'what would 'dave's esl: the movie' be like? |
