Have you ever been turned down by Korean girl you liked because of you being foreign?
just curious.
I know this is a bit bizarre but I'd appreciate it if you guys would share your experiences
Although I'm not in Korea yet(will be very soon, and interested in dating Korean girls) but I've tried making friends with korean international students studying in universities here in the state, but they mostly stayed with-in their groups and i couldn't really have "real" relationship or friendship, it was hard(Americanized Koeran Americans are totally opposite!)
how about your selves? |

Koreans in America are fish-out-of-water, so they're even more reserved and shy than they would be in Korea. The international students will stay in their groups and getting in with them probably requires a near-fluent or better handle of the language, or some kind of class or activity that forces you together. |

Most of the Korean girls I know say they aren't "attracted" to Caucasian men (unless you look like Johnny Depp or something).
Don't lose hope though!! Some are! Just keep looking. |

There are so many exceptions to this rule that I suspect you live in a most rarefied world here. Oh, and what they say and how they feel are not always in sink. It just wouldn't be kosher to admit to something so salacious and irreverent. |

I live in a world called Earth. Ofcourse it has many names, though.
Did I hit a nerve? I said "some are" which is about right. I'm talking about Korean-Korean girls so yes, not that many are interested in caucasian guys and the ones who ARE interested in white guys are usually the less attractive ones or the very rebellious ones. Most of the foreign guys who've dated Korean girls say things along those lines as well. Now if you have a very beautiful Korean girlfriend, feel free to prove me wrong with pictures. |

No nerve hit. Why would you think so? Did you notice exclamation marks and sarcasm in my response? I thought my response was a lot more measured and less general than yours. We are both entitled to an opinion--or do you have some secret source that gives your opinion more weight and accuracy? Please share. I'll tell you this though, when writers use "most of" and "some are" for the same description the meaning becomes muddled. Anyways, I don't want to argue semantics with you as there are no winners there. Let's just say you are entitled to your opinion as I am--and that's all they are. And I am a man interacting with Korean women in a fundamentally different way than you are. |

What's beautiful? A trophy Mongolian female who has good looks on the surface and is probably a flagrant money hungry egomaniac. Ya, that's beautiful!! These are the exact females who marry for the dough and then jump off a bridge 15 years later. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. When you stop wearing your training bra, let us know!!

Salacious and irreverent in some cases!! Those exceptions are usually refered to as individuality. I realize using the term "individuality" is blasphemy in regard to the Hermit Kingdom, but I am starting to believe it truly does exist here. |

As far as having a relationship, anything is possible.
Don't be a dumbass, genuinely try to help, and immerse yourself in the "Korean life".
Friends help friends here. |

No.
But I've ever only gone for one and we both knew our personalities clicked.
The others came to me although they were quite rebellious and somewhat aggressive which is not a typical korean female trait when dating is concerned.
Hey morning star....I won't post a pic of my girlfriend here but to Korean guys she is between and 8 and a 9 so I think I pretty much kill your ugly guy/averge korean girl stereotype. There are exceptions. (as far as looks are concerned...for me she is a 10) Funny you always ask people to shut up unless they post pics but you never post yours. Strange indeed. |

Most Korean gals I've seen with western guys although questionable with regards to their standing among their own peers, are slightly a cut above their counterparts in the west. |

have you ever been turned down by a girl from your native culture? Just a guess, but that may be a point of reference. I assume rejection sucks irregardless of the nationality of the non responsive. |

It's the hunt, not the kill.
I get turned down all the time by a Korean gal.
And we're married. |

That would be never since I'm a man.
All beautiful women are money or power hungry... or both and they can afford to be so. Ugly women don't have "better personalities" they only have less options. It's lame to assume all pretty women are superficial anyways since most aren't. You probably don't know any thus the assumptions. |

In response to the original question, no. But I understand if you did get turned down. Why? Probably because you didn't try hard enough. In my experience, Korean girls don't like to admit they like you. Maybe it has something to do with the saving face thing, but yea they'll just go on acting like they don't really have feelings for you. Basically, you have to call their bluff. Again and again. Then, probably months later, she'll suddenly turn to the other extreme and be all over you. |
