Does anybody play?
I'm trying to make an account through their website but apparently our ID numbers don't really do anything.
Help?!!?

Been playing with my Canadian account since I got here...
Hell, when I was put in my new classroom/office (not shared with my co-teachers) the first thing I did was d/l WOTLK and install it to my compy... Didn't even need my CD Key... Installed, patched, works like a charm Very Happy

Make sure you're running an EN-US copy of the game... You can't log an overseas account to a KOR version of the game

If you are forced to use a Korean ID, just ask to borrow your woman's/co-teacher's ID #

So you just run it as if you were back home: client, account, etc?
Cool. Now to transfer money back home to get my shammy out of hock...
Razz

Now that we can make death knights if we have an end game toon does that mean that there are a lot of terrible death knights running around mucking up raids?

Is World of Warcraft as good as everyone says? I love the regular Warcraft games but is it the same sort of thing? I guy I went to college with said "WOW took away 2 years of my life that I can never get back". Is it worth playing? I'm looking for a new hobby but maybe it's too addictive. Doesn't it cost 40 bucks a month also?

I read an article recently about how WOW was as addictive as heroin. I've never played, so I can't really say.

$14.99 USD/month

Is it addicting? Depends on your personality.. I play it casually.. instead of watching movies or reading books perhaps. But, i know guys who spend their friday and saturday nights raiding..

$15 a month. Yeah, it's fun.

I just started playing again so if somebody rolls a char on an Oceanic server I'll give you some hot gold.

Yeah it's great fun in moderation. Getting super sucked in can be a great way to save money and also a great way to kill your social life. It does reward teamwork and creative thinking once you get to max level and start raiding (doing the hard fights as a group) but is also a time sink to really keep up with the more competitive players that play the game.

I've played on and off for 4 years, but I haven't been playing a lot for the last few months and don't miss it terribly.

I play the game off and on as well. I haven't really played since I bought my Xbox360 back in November but now that I'm over here I don't have a TV with the right plug ins so I'm really thinking about getting back into WoW again and playing with my ex bf who keeps showing me how well he does in the battlegrounds.

I hear the new expansion is going to have two new races; Goblins for Horde and Worgins for Alliance. Sounds exciting.

make sure you're playing from an American account and you're golden. You won't be able to buy game cards from the stores here that work on those accounts so, so credit card is the only way to go unless someone at home buys you the cards and e-mails you the code or something.

I still haven't kicked my wow back up since I got here. I know I will soon though.

I love WoW... Have played since the original beta...
Play probably 6-10 hours a week depending on my schedule... Good way to kill an evening (my gf who's teaching in Japan plays as well so we Skype and quest togther...)

For the 15 bucks a month its a damn good time waster for those night where you just don't feel like wearing pants Razz
