I'm leaving for Yongin soon and I was just wondering if anyone could give me any information about Yongin, and if they know anything, the ILS school there. About all I really know is that it's an hour south of Seoul and there is a large amusement park. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |

If it's the same ILS that I know, it's in the middle of nowhere. The owner is rich, however. |

I am currently living in Yongin, so any questions you have please go ahead. I have lived here for over a year now and love it. I don't know where ILS is though |

I live close to the Jukjeon side of Yongin and I just adore the area. It's not too far from Seoul and there's just this amazing dreamy riverside path that goes all the way from Yongin through Bundang and to Seoul (if you can make it that far ;p)
If you like nature it's a great place to be. Also, if you would like a friend when you get here I'd be more than happy! |

I just wanted to know about the area. How many people, is it a big place, how the public transportation is, night life, and the like. And if anyone knows any specifics on the ILS school, I would love to hear about it. |

Hi. I know this thread is a little old but I have just had a couple of great interviews with ILS in Yongin and I wondered if the OP had arrived there yet and could tell me anything about life there and about the employer. |

Thanks, sorry for being unspecific. I just asked my recruiter to tell me where specifically in Yongin the school is. I will post when I know |

The world's biggest religious bigot and evil-minded idiot, Derrick David Theissen, works there and terrorizes expat teachers. |

:S good to know. I'll keep that in mind as a point against in weighing out my options, but I suppose asshole co-workers can pop up in any work place. |

Haha. I forgot about this topic. I read this site almost every day but I never post anything. How did this get back to the front page?
Anyway, I'm almost two months in and I'm having a great time. Eight Americans, and two from NZ, and all of them are very cool. The people in charge are really nice and do their best to make sure that we are taken care of and everything is OK. Other teachers who have been here in Korea longer say that it is a great place, but the workload is a bit more than you would find at other schools. But I'm OK with that, its not to bad. All in all, I'm having a blast here in Korea, and I really like my school.
And its in the Juk-Jeon part of Yongin. You can be in Seoul in less than an hour most of the time. |

Hi, I am considering a position in Namsa-myeon, Bonmu-ri. Have you heard of it? I'm really outdoorsy and an avid hiker/snowboarder. I don't particularly need the place to have a great nightlife, but would hate to live in a ghost town/dilapidated area...
If you or anyone knows anything about it, I'd really appreciate some info!
Thanks |
