The Lost Symbol! I just ordered it and it arrived a couple of days ago from What the Book! Who's going to read it? Are you a fan of Dan Brown?

Shocked

DON'T SAY A WORD! Evil or Very Mad

I'll open up a discussion after I finish it. It'll be interesting, I'm sure.

I just finished Chapter 3. I downloaded it as I don't want to pay 20,000 or more for the book. I'll buy it when it comes to paperback...maybe. I sold his other books as they just don't have the re-read value to me.

So far, not bad, but nothing special. It'll probably be the typical slow build-up that he had in his other books.

I'm too busy with the Twilight saga to bother with anything by Dan Brown.

I kind of enjoyed The Da Vinci Code but I'm not a fan of his writing.

Have a look here to see some of his worst work.

If a book can be read under three hours, it does not hold a lot of content.

Hilarious! Funny stuff, thanks for the laugh. At least, I was laughing until I read some of the comments at the bottom of the page. Comments like this:

Also, your first entry (#20) is dumb. He's DESCRIBING the character. You can't SHOW a description of something in WRITING you flipping moron. Descriptions are all tell, no show.

It's amazing that there are people out there who really are this stupid AND DON'T KNOW IT.

I too had fun reading the Da Vinci Code, but the writing isn't that great and I have no interest in reading any of his other books. Dan Brown just writes cheap thrillers, I have too much other stuff to read, personally.

So I have this only one question, is it any better than Angels and Demons? Because that one was my least favorite.

Or, is the new one better than both previous ones? I've heard this one is centered around Free Masons.
