According to a couple Korean English news sources today. An analyst at Goldman Sach's with a very Korean sounding name predicts a unified Korea could top the economies of Germany, France and Japan. Being Second to the US (and presumably China.) Sk Has great technology and know how and NK has resources.
Personally, I think this is a pipe dream, even given a sucessful re-unification. There are too many global factors which come into play. Will this country still be a technology hot spot? Will Japan continue to stagnate? Will a larger and more populated Germany not return to growth when they give up on their socialist experiment. Too much to consider.

Well, some people think a unified Korea could conquer Japan and the US through military means. Some people live in a fantasy world.
