Here's something for you:
the iphone is a...
phone. It's a PHONE.
If your happiness hangs from whether or not you get your shiny, hipster, fresh-outta-college toy, then...make your own inferences, I'm not going to write it out. |
Both of my parents have one, many of my aunts and uncles also have one. They are certainly not fresh out of college or hipsters.
It is a revolutionary device. Some people get excited about gadgets, some don't. I don't think a single person mentioned how their happiness is hanging in the balance. You need to relax, this is the technology forum, people are talking about technology (and an article from the local newspaper). |
I think that, in order for the OP to call Koreans "cavemen in tuxedos" just because he can't get a special toy here, that's pretty pathetic and makes it seem like this thing is making him feel pretty damn unhappy. I love technology, my friends have iPhones, they worship Steve Jobs blah blah blah, but making racist comments over the iPhone is just plain pathetic. |
ROFL. Racist? wtf are you smoking? I was talking about the fact that Koreans love to tout how "technology advanced" in mobile their country is when there is a blatantly corrupt process restricting both mobile web development as well as any "threatening" foreign technology...but i guess that's racist of me too.
And yes i am unhappy. I might ACTUALLY be forced to buy a Blackberry...shudder. |
Babe, no one is "forcing" you to buy a Blackberry or anything else. If you feel "forced" into spending hundreds of dollars on a phone that causes you to shudder, then maybe you should re-examine your priorities or find your beautiful inner self. I don't know. And I don't know what you were taught in school, but calling a nation of people "cavemen in tuxedos" is not exactly PC. It shows exactly how much maturity and class you have. |

Telecom regulator OKs sale of iPhones
Quote: |
South Korea's telecom regulator approved Wednesday the sale of iPhones in the country, paving the way for Apple Inc. to make inroads into a market dominated by domestic handset makers, according to Yonhap News. The Korea Communications Committee said its policymakers decided to allow the local sale of the iPhone and the launch of its service within the limits of the law. |

Sounds like more red tape in the future to me. "You can sell it, but you can't offer its services because of so-and-so law.. " |

Agreed. This is one of those people that takes everything said literally and out of context. A person that argues for the sake of arguing...online, what a loser. |
